STG Navigable Servitude Endorsement Guideline 1

Explanation:

This endorsement insures against the U.S. navigable servitude.

Underwriting Requirements:

(1) Underwriting personnel must approve issuance of the endorsement.
(2) Available maps, if any, must be reviewed to determine whether a possible servitude exists because of filled in lands.
(3) The period of time the land and area has been improved must be considered.
(4) Army Corps of Engineers permits for improvements must be considered.
(5) The State commission, if any, must be consulted on issues involving coastal land in some states.

Any revision to this form requires approval of a Stewart Title Guaranty Company underwriter. The underwriting guidelines contained herein have been provided for general reference. The facts, circumstances, and location of the subject property should be considered when determining the issuance of the requested form or endorsement. Please note that all of the forms and endorsements included in this system may not be available in all states. Accordingly, please contact the appropriate Stewart Title Guaranty Company underwriting personnel in order to determine availability.
